How I fixed my water damaged Ipod?

Now I'm not going to go into details about how I dropped my Ipod in water not once but twice and how it was lying in water for more than 3 minutes. It was damaged; I switched it on and soon found it slowly turning off.

I knew that the circuits in Ipod are all wet and all I need to do if nothing got screwed up (with my stupid maneuver of turning it on still it's wet) is to dry them.

You know Incandescent light bulb's emit enough heat ,In my kitchen the light bulb was in my hand's reach, I placed the Ipod very near to the bulb ( don't put it on the glass enclosure) and forgot about it for about two hours ,then I took the Ipod ,it was really hot, I turned it on and Voila!! It was working normally.

P.S: This technique works for phones too
