I got to know about this from Guy's blog,a PlayPump Water System and is one of the greatest invention for the third world countries,using this all that children need to do to fetch water is play.

This is how it works:

While children have fun spinning on the PlayPump merry-go-round,clean water is pumped from underground into a tank standing seven meters above the ground.The water then can be accessed using taps.
