Last weekend I was reading this book My startup Life by casnocha ( I used to pronounce it kas-no-cha but it is kas-no-ka ),He says that you can't persuade a prospect to buy a soultion for an un-obvious problem and I agree with him,you just can't goto a prospect and tell him "Dude you know you've got this problem, and you should buy my super duper product to solve your problem", coz he's not going to buy it, on the other side, you might loose credibility,if any,I donno, may be you can get them to buy ya solution(product),If they've consulted you to find out that problem they are oblivious of.

How to make a million dollars?
When I was a kid,9 or 10 year old probably,I thought there's a way to become a crorepati,a millionaire, it's so easy take one rupee from everyone in the country and there you go, you are a millionaire, but then I thought (I could understand all this!) How would I collect all this money, may be I have to employ people to do it,If I employ people,I have to pay them,n may be the cost turns around much more than I'd collect.
I was surprised to see seth saying the same,Even If somebody can persuade huge masses to contribute a penny,It is actually difficult to manage it and it is far easier to actually get a thousand dollars from each of thousand people or $10K from a hundred organisations. It is surprising (I never gave it a thought) that this is how many successful products and services worked, focus on a small community and eventually to a larger market.

Frustration
I've attended this day long training on Emotional Intelligence, I didn't finish this book Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman ,So I thought I will attend this one, it was quite informative, rhetorically for me,One thing I learnt about was mixed emotions, like frustration,Frustration can be further subdivided into Helplessness and anger, (I beleive the cognition itself could be a way to cure a psychological ailment) and when you know the ingridients of the emotion, you could work on them and eventually cure the emotional ailment.

Dilbert and business writing
Scott adams,I've always loved him for dilbert, the other day he divulged his writing secrets on his blog. He says
Business writing is about clarity and persuasion. The main technique is keeping things simple. Simple writing is persuasive. A good argument in five sentences will sway more people than a brilliant argument in a hundred sentences. Don’t fight it
1.Keep things simple,Simple means getting rid of extra words. Don’t write, “He was very happy” when you can write “He was happy.” You think the word “very” adds something. It doesn’t.
2.Write short sentences. Avoid putting multiple thoughts in one sentence. Readers aren’t as smart as you’d think.
3.Learn how brains organize ideas. Readers comprehend “the boy hit the ball” quicker than “the ball was hit by the boy.”

why do we fail continuously?
I've had people asking tips asking girls out and getting them (Coz i read all the ridiculously boring, useless psychology stuff) and I tell them do this, this, this and dont do this this this, but many of them end up just failing, why does this happen?this happnes coz they just dont do what I tell them to,rather they end up doing completely opposite,I get intrigued as to why they don't do what I tell them to, It's not just with the dating and stuff but also with other things, we feel like we have to achieve this thing and we read all the business books (or whatever) and we still do the pretty same shit everyday,we converse with the same people,we go to the same places and we dont get off our butts when we have to get off that huge belly hanging around your waist, here's an article which gives a good solution, atleast for some of yer business failures.

My another year full of mistakes
Today I complete one more year of my life on the earth,I feel all nostalgic and feel "एक और साल बीत गया मन्ज़िल अभी बहुत दूर हैं", anyways my last year was as usual full of mistakes and I know if I dont learn from them I'm gonna repeat all of them, I only wish God to give me right knowledge and be there for me.

need extra-ordinary PR and beta testing for free?
I was browsing thorugh CNN money online and stumbled on this article startups to watch, the 6th position in the watch list is occupied by joost, skype founders Janus Friis and Niklas Zennstrom floated this new online video startup,it's still in it's beta, the website says
Joost is a new way of watching TV on the internet. With Joost, you get all the things you love about TV, including a high-quality full-screen picture, hundreds of full-length shows and easy channel-flipping.
and for now you can use joost only if you've got an invite,I think invite is an awesome strategy to get good beta testing and PR for free.I think the Invite strategy works this way
You make the service accessible only through invitation, actually you are making it less accessible, the user has to get an invite from a friend or has to go look out for the one who has them, when there are restricted number of invitations, the people who have them feel like they are in an elite group, and the one's without an invite are left desperate to get one,as in the case of gmail, initially some people were selling the invites on ebay, you release the service after a considerable amount of time and meanwhile you get free beta testing and also free marketing ,but this kinda strategy mostly works if you are a google or skype or associated with one of the likes.

Brain science is about to fundamentally change computing
To date, there hasn't been an overarching theory of how the human brain really works, Jeff Hawkins argues in this compelling talk. That's because we still haven't defined intelligence accurately. But one thing's for sure, he says: The brain isn't like a powerful computer processor. It's more like a memory system that records everything we experience and helps us predict, intelligently, what will happen next. Bringing this new brain science to computer devices will enable powerful new applications -- and it will happen sooner than you think
