Are you savvy?,are you in? are you cool? do you speak that cool lingo?do you have that attitude?,the answer I get from loads of these young guys and gals is YEAHAA!!.Yeah People want to be "in", to be cool, wanna look like christina augilera or some other diva, they sport that cool attitude, they watch videos on Youtube, they post 'em,they drink coke coz their Fav actor does(or atleast endorses),they partey,go to discotheques, they do marijuana and acid coz they feel like in heaven, you know what? they are in!,they are independent, they've got all kinda freedom, they are GENX.
But I question myself, is GENX really independent, are they free? and are they themselves at all? No!. They are not independent, they are not free and nor they being themselves. Now yes,I am being judgemental, that's only coz I am indignant, coz People are screwing up their lives, its not what they really want to be,they are not free, they are being slaves
So what is that forcing them to be what they dont wanna be? the answer is fear of being a social outcast, and who is making them a social outcast, may be MTV or all these commercial ads who show all the cool people, who show anorexic models or brawny hunks, they are making sure If you dont Identify with what they show, you are an outcast, you dont belong to the GENX.Fear of being a social outcast drives you do all these "cool" things that you dont wanna do in the first place.I'd suggest you to ask yourselves, are you savvy? are you truely happy being "in", I dont think so!.Just be happy people, screw everything else, do things you wanna do, dont care about being in or out,Just be happy,do things that make you happy, that make you YOU n not a crappy diva look alike.

Instant Gratification
Instant Gratification is one thing that is ruining the world, mostly the younger part of it, I'd say.You go to malls with ya friends just to do some window shopping while ya friend wants to buy a pullover or something and bam!! you see from outtside an awesome leather jacket displayed in the showroom,
You say "come on man nobody's gonna charge me for trying that jacket, let's get in"
Oh! It fits you so well, youre looking like a pimp daddy now,ahh.. here it starts, the urge to satisfy the Brad pitt in you,
you hardly have any money left for the month, what you gonna do now? wait, there's one way, you've got a credit card, you can pay that money sometime later but you might not find leather jacket again!!
This happens everytime you go window shopping only one day you wake up to realise your debt piled up and ya credit card stopped working.
If you want to have a good credit built, have many credit cards, use them and payback the debts as soon as possible. But If you cannot control your urge to satisfy Instant gratification, This is my million dollar suggestion to you ,don't keep one and moreover try to pay things with cash,I mean dont even use your debit card.Paying in cash makes you feel you are loosing money and the pain makes you spend less resulting in greater control on instant gratification.

Kailash kher

This has got nothing to do with the kinda blog mine is, but I cant stop mentioning this, I love this singer,Kailash kher.May be coz I love sufi music or may be coz I see that same thing in my voice that he's got,I guess . I heard this recent number of his Ya Rabba from the movie Salaam-e-ishq(सलाम-ए-इशक़), man its awesome Im gonna wanna sing this, desperately,:D.
seeing is believing
Noun: Believing(bu'leeving)
1. The cognitive process that leads to convictions
Noun: Seeing(seeing)
1. perception by means of the eyes
2. Normal use of the faculty of vision
I feel like laughing when people often quote this statement.I know that quite often it is the other way around and what you believe is what you see.If you believe in something and make it strong enough people start seeing it.Let's take a freakish example of your desk, sometime before it never existed in this world until a carpenter has been told to make one for you, you've seen a desk that never existed n shown it to the carpenter,he saw it n he realised it for you,its like he believed that it can be made which ultimately resulted in its materialisation,If you dont take the example literally but think deep, you will understand this ubiquitous phenomenon that it is this way the world works, people always see something they believe and not the other way round!!

Absolute Truth??
Is there something called absolute truth?? I dont know! People thought the entire universe revolved around earth and the geocentric model was an undisputable truth , until later galileo came and defended heliocentrism.Yesterday's truth is today's controversy and bullshit tomorrow,Why its always been like this?
Truth, more often the social reality is just a perception of an individual.Perception is mind's intercept seen through the lens of paradigm and an Individual's paradigm is always influenced by ones prejudices,Prejudice is just an affirmed thought. Thus it can be inferred that truth is a parameter which varies from an individual to another, may be this is what makes people differ,be enemies or get attracted to each other.some perceive a thing as right and others as wrong, they altercate, they adhere to their own paradigms and at the end they may be even fight.Even in an organisational environment people often misconceive their roles and responsibilities, because they often never change their paradigms and adhere to their own.
People's insecurities are also a product of their misconception , I guess and I think to come out of this people have to just try to change their paradigms, but yes I know It is not as easy as saying it.But I guess people who are committed to change their life and come out of insecurities often end up doing the same, changing their paradigm, changing their Truth.
Albert Einstein: " The significant problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them."

The psychological composition of Love
From the very first day I was interested in psychology,I wanted to know the composition of love,What exactly drives people to go ecstatic and also do crazy things or even ruin their lives. One of my friends asked me if I could explain love,I said lemme try.
I disagree when people say Love is different to attraction, but yeah its not just the attraction which makes Love.As far as my thinking goes the formula for Love is
Love = Attraction+Commitment+Consistency;
I also completely agree with Covey when he says Love is not a feeling its a verb, yes, it could be just a verb and it can solely base itself on commitment and consistency. But yeah it is foolish to say that Love is all that simple, it might be a really complex phenomenon,it is!! rather and you should know that this is just a purely rationalionlistic analysis of mine and taking into consideration that I am not sure of the very feeling, but If I want to make it as simple as possible that would be it.
P.S: To know more about commitment and consistency please refer Influence: The psychology of persuasion by Dr.Robert Cialdini.

Value proposition
My last unsuccessful venture www.letuslearnmusic.com taught me so much about value proposition.Sometime before I kinda thought why dont we put all the resources needed for a Music rookie at a place online, n I tried to do the same with Letuslearnmusic , I bought the domain name n the webspace and installed the forum and made little database of resources needed for anybody to startoff learning music, I wanted to put primers for all kinda instruments n even vocals.
There was one thing missing ,The Value Proposition , LetUsLearnMusic offered no value for a user, there were loads of resources already available on the web a google click away.We were literally on the origin of Value/Novelty graph, We were not innovative,it was not a new path breaking, paradigm shifting idea or something n nor were we offering a high value proposition (rather any value proposition).
A venture can only be successful if it is on the high to right on the Value/Novelty graph, yes as Guy says you can be successful with just high value proposition like dell, but then you have to compete on price.

Yaari.com
Today I've got an invitation for yaari.com from one prerna gupta, the CEO of yaari.com , I thought lemme check this out.Yeah you guessed it right , it's another wannabe Myspace. This Indian Myspace clone is started by this NRI from United States.I shouldn't be judgemental but the CEO tag for such an early stage company sounds funny, anyway so the main question is it gonna be a next Myspace of India? I am not sure ( The first page of yaari didn't look appealing to me,I saw raima sen or someone with a sleazy top!!),Orkut has already got a large share of Indian youth on web, though more and more Indian youth are getting social online now, the chances of Yaari stand skeptical. The user value that Yaari brought into Indian social networking space are multimedia content and mobile, people can upload all the multimedia stuff and they can access yaari on their mobiles, yeah this might help Yaari kick off.
The marketing strategy of Yaari is similar to every other social networking website i.e., Viral marketing, I donno if just this gonna help yaari pitt against the mighty orkut, their business model is currently based on ads.Hey,I forgot they are giving away ipod shuffles for popular yaars,so go yaari!!,ofcourse only if you want to.
